Commencement of Kerb Works - Hamilton Street, Latrobe

Published 29th February 2024
Planned Kerb and Channel works contracted to Walters Contracting Pty Ltd are scheduled to commence next week.

The extents of these works are along the eastern side only of Hamilton Street, as indicated on the image below.

These works will require temporary traffic management arrangements and temporary removal of access to vehicle accesses and utilities, including mains water supply and electricity. The dates and time periods for disruptions have not yet been confirmed but affected residents will be advised closer to the date. Walters will liaise with residents regarding scheduling of works once the works have commenced.

Early works in this project will include (but may not be limited to) the setting up of equipment, surveying of the site, removal of the existing retaining wall and placement of underground stormwater pipes. Some residents may temporarily lose vehicular access to their driveways and may need to seek alternative parking arrangements during the time period that they are impacted. Latrobe Council also requests that residents avoid parking within the nature strip within the extents of the works.

Council apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works and appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Please contact Walters’ site supervisor on 0456 781 148 or the Council’s Roads and Drainage Engineer on 6426 4444 should you have any queries.
