Bass Highway Advertising Signage

Issues have been identified in the past with ad-hoc advertising signage being placed on Crown Land along the Bass Highway. Latrobe Council, in consultation with the Department of Infrastructure Energy and Resources (DIER), initiated  the ‘Bass Highway Signage’ concept which, it is hoped, will address some of the concerns regarding safety and signage placement.

Latrobe Council ‘Welcome To’ and ‘What’s Happening’ signage has been located on the eastern and western approach to the Latrobe township along the Bass Highway.  Advertising space is available on the ‘What’s Happening’ signage where corflute signage can be placed over the existing wording.  Advertising space is offered to local businesses, sporting clubs, not for profit organisations, community groups and Latrobe Council to promote their special occasion or event, at minimal expense, with a view to providing information to residents and visitors and promoting tourism within the Municipality.
