There have been several individuals and groups from the Latrobe Municipality who have contributed greatly to the community. The opportunity to purchase and dedicate a seat to commemorate the contributions made is open to individuals, families, businesses and service groups. The seats will be located in Council approved areas within the municipality.
Two seat designs have been approved by Council, high-backed and bench seats. To achieve uniformity, seats will be made of stainless steel and mod board. Donors may choose the design and mod board colour.

Guidelines for donor(s):
- The lead in for seat engraving may be “Sponsored by…”, “Donated by…”, “In Memory of…:”. Donors are welcome to propose an alternative for consideration.
- Payment in full must be made prior to Council ordering and installing the seat. The approximate cost of a seat is between $2,000-$3,200, exact pricing will be provided on application.
- Placement of seats will be in consultation with the Latrobe Council Infrastructure and Assets Department. They will be primarily located in parks, reserves and/or walking tracks/pathways.
- If a seat is damaged beyond repair, replacement is at total cost and discretion of the donor(s).
- Ownership of seats resides with Council as part of Council’s infrastructure.
- Council staff will coordinate and manage the project.
- Council staff will approach other groups and individuals in the municipality to assist with the identification of appropriate locations for seats eg: Port Sorell Advisory Committee (PSAC).
