Works will commence to extend the kerb-and-channel and stormwater infrastructure along Hamilton Street from Monday, 24 February, 2025.
Works will be undertaken by Council’s contractor, B31 Civil, and are expected to be complete by mid-April subject to weather conditions.
The works will include road widening and installation of kerb and channel along the eastern side of Hamilton Street and upgrading of stormwater infrastructure including new pit and pipe installations, including small portions of Thomas Street and Reibey Street.
These works will require temporary traffic management arrangements and temporary removal of access to vehicle accesses and utilities, including mains water supply and electricity. Residents will be further advised of interruptions to services closer to the date.
Early works in this project will include setting up equipment, surveying the site, removal of trees on the eastern side of Hamilton Street only and placement of underground stormwater pipes.
Some residents may temporarily lose vehicular access to their driveways and may need to seek alternative parking arrangements during the time period that they are impacted. Residents should avoid parking on nature strips during these works.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these works and appreciates your patience and cooperation.
Please contact Council’s Roads and Drainage Engineer on 6426 4444 should you have any queries.
