Rates

Property rates are Council's principle revenue source. Valuations provided by the Valuer-General are used to calculate the rates on each property. For further information on Rates and frequently asked questions, please click here.

Collection of Council's rates is essential to the funding of services and capital works. To encourage this, Council offers a 2% discount on current rates where rates are paid in full by the first instalment due date.

You may choose to pay your rates in full on or before the first instalment date, or by four instalments.

Instalment 1 - 10th August 2012
Instalment 2 - 31st October, 2012
Instalment 3 - 31st January, 2013
Instalment 4 - 31st March, 2013

Any ratepayers who are experiencing genuine difficulties in meeting these dates can apply for alternative payment arrangements by contacting Council's Rates Officer, Mrs Amy Solomon.

By Mail
Cheques should be made payable to 'Latrobe Council' and addressed to P O Box 63, LATROBE 7307

In Person
Present this notice to the cashier at the Council offices during normal office hours. (8.00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday) EFTPOS facilities are available enabling credit, debit and charge card transaction (cash out not available)

A receipt number for your transaction will be issued at the time of payment.

You will need to quote biller code 868992 and will be asked for a customer reference number which is the Property number found on the top right hand corner of your rates notice.

Pay your Latrobe Council rates account at any Post Office. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, or by credit card - MasterCard or Visa. (Amex or Diners Club cards are not accepted)
